The COLD-CHAIN process doesn't start any better than it does here at Alpha Fern Company. From the fields, our cutters bring the fern to our packing facility to be dipped into our chilled vat that is pre-mixed with a high dose of HYDROSEAL and chilled to a 43-45 degree temperature.
From the dipping vat, our baskets of fern are rolled into the cooler to drain and continue the cooling process before the bunches are packed to ship. We do ALL of our shipping in REFRIGERATED TRUCKS to ensure that from our fields to your choice of transportation - our fern is always cool.
